DAY 4: Why you keep repeating the same patterns — and why understanding them isn’t enough

Day four of Stop Drifting. Start Living on Purpose is ready...

… and it opens with the line the whole session hangs on:

Nothing has gone wrong. You’re running a script you didn’t choose.

People often call me a pattern spotter — I can usually see the pattern running underneath what someone’s describing before they can. But here’s the honest bit: it took me years to turn that on myself. I could see everyone else’s script perfectly. Mine was invisible to me. Because that’s what your own patterns are — invisible, running in the background for years. Sometimes decades.

So before you go anywhere near fixing anything, one reframe. The pattern isn’t proof you’re failing. It’s information.

If you keep ending up in similar relationships — information. If you keep hitting the same ceiling at work — information. If the same financial habit shows up year after year — information. It’s not a lack of effort. It’s not a character flaw. It’s a script. And scripts can be read.

But here’s the part most personal development gets wrong. You don’t break a pattern by understanding it. You can analyse a pattern for a decade and it will keep running — because insight doesn’t interrupt a script. Action does. One small move, smaller than your resistance, and the pattern is no longer automatic. That’s the crack. Everything else comes through it.

In this session, I walk you through the patterns that keep capable women stuck — waiting for permission, the burn-it-down urge, fighting your own feelings, always on — and the two-minute interruptions that break each one.

Watch the replay here — and be kind to yourself while you do. We’re not building a case against you. We’re reading the information.
